Christine Osmundson is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Colorado and an Educational Diagnostician in Colorado. She has a master’s degree in Applied Psychology from New York University and 1 year of post graduate studies towards a Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Institute in London, England. She has worked with several populations of children, adolescents and their families for over 18 years within several capacities i.e., psychiatric inpatient, residential, day treatment, school, mental health centers and private practice.

She believes in building a therapeutic relationship through unconditional positive regard together with a cognitive behavioral psychodynamic approach; an evidenced based practice. With young children, she uses the aforementioned techniques with play therapy. It is important to include families during separate sessions to help them work with their child to achieve successful outcomes.

With extensive experience and training in individual, family, group, school, crisis management and case management, she will work in collaboration with outside providers that include school personnel, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, mediators, etc. to provide you and your family with a comprehensive treatment plan that includes measurable outcomes.
